Yesterday our 2nd graders experienced an incredible field trip š to the Chicago Auditorium Theater šļøš to watch a performance by the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater! ššæšŗš¾2nd graders were treated two selections, "Ailey Classics" and "Revelations." Yesterday, Steel City freshmen visited the Chicago Shakespeare Theater šļø š on Navy Pier š³ļø , where they watched a modern interpretation of "A Midsummerās Night Dream." š ššš¾ Some sophomores even tagged along after having a great experience last year! š
Through the student-friendly performance š¤ and the Q&A šš¾āāļø with the cast, the trip was an amazing opportunity to enhance the study of Shakespeare š and to get a closer look š at what careers in the performing arts could look like. Quite a few Steel City students can envision themselves on stage one day and were eager to learn more! š¤©
