Do you know what you want to be when you grow up? 💙🎓Are you aware of the education you need to get there? September 25-29th, Steel City Academy will be celebrating College GO Week! College GO Week is for grades K-12, as we empower students to learn about college, the military and trad e opportunities. It is important to aid all students in thinking concretely about post-secondary education and pathways, so this week is about giving students the tools that they need to succeed now and in the future! College GO! Week is supported by Learn More Indiana, whose mission is to help Hoosier students of all ages plan, prepare and pay for college completion and career success through effective communication and outreach. 🔥 #WeAreSteelCityStrong
A special congratulations are in order for our Steel City Cross Country Team who brought home the hardware from the Lake Station Cross Country Invite this week!
🏆 Special shout out to Jonathan R. who brought home the first place ribbon and De'Shaun who finished second in the boys race 🏃🏾♂️ On the girls side, Angelina finished in 4th place and Alyssa finished in fifth! Yesterday, during recess our 1st graders worked as a team to build their own classroom fort 🔥 After a collaborative, productive struggle our students were so proud of their achievement! What a life lesson- there is JOY in reaching your goal after persevering through the struggle! 🔥💙

Last Thursday our Steel City Juniors and Seniors visited Indiana University to tour the campus, learn more about the college experience AND visit with some of our incredible Steel City Alumni who attend IU ❤️ 🎓 We always say - you can't be what you can't see- and love witnessing our current students not only see themselves on a college campus, but see their former classmates thriving with college life 🔥 THIS is what it's all about! #WeAreSteelCityStrong
