Steel City students will return for Semester 2 on Wednesday, January 4th at the normal Wednesday late start time (10:00 am). As a reminder, tomorrow (Tuesday, January 3rd) will be Quarter 2 Parent Teacher Conferences & Report Card Pick Up for all grade levels from 1:00-5:00 pm. As a reminder, Friday will be our last day of school before a very much deserved Winter Break! Steel City will observe Winter Break from Monday, December 19th through Tuesday, January 3rd and return to school on Wednesday, January 4th with the normal Wednesday start time! Tremendous News Thursday: Steel City Academy is proud to announce that SEVEN(!!) students from our Class of 2023 have been accepted into the Indiana University Groups Program- a Steel City record! ⚙️🔥 Steel City is the ONLY high school in Gary with students accepted into this illustrious and transformational program this year. Congratulations Mykera, Kenyon, Shamicha, Ariauna, Yossi, Keyonna and Jade! We are SO proud of you! 🎓❤️
The Groups Scholars Program provides FULL TUITION, as well as academic and social supports to ensure students attain a bachelor's degree at Indiana University! 🔥
