Dear Steel City Academy,
For years, families, students and staff have welcomed the first snow day of the year with immense JOY! Yet after COVID and the adoption of E Learning Days, this is a joy that many school communities sadly no longer get to experience. Sleeping in, drinking hot chocolate, playing out in the snow, cozying up with your favorite book, taking a midday nap as the snow comes down!
For all of these reasons and more, Steel City Academy will have NO SCHOOL tomorrow, Friday, March 3rd in honor of the 1st snow day of the year. The building will be closed for students and staff and there will be no E Learning. We plan to return on Monday, March 6th to get back to the most important work: learning!
But in the meantime, enjoy this day!
Stay safe and warm!
Yours in love and light,
Ms. Kirley
