In our 7th and 8th Grade Math classes, it is essential our students build the skills to work collaboratively, communicate effectively and discuss multiple methods to solve complex problems š
Yesterday our students participated in the Stack 'Em Up Activity - a collaborative problem solving task aimed to stack the cups without touching them and ONLY using string and rubber bands! After 10 minutes of strategizing, teams' were timed to build the highest tower in the shortest amount of time! In the final round, teams' were charged with reaching the same goal but WITHOUT talking! š„āļøš
It was remarkable to see the resourceful strategies and teamwork used to reach a shared goal! š„āļøš #WeAreSteelCityStrong
